Link Murray is Executive Director and Co-Founder of Liberation Capital International Inc, a US not-for-profit (501-c-3) created to enhance effective deployment of capital in communities that are under-served by Venture Capital. 

 

The first focus of “Lib Cap” is Africa, but a dedicated team of Canadians and others are applying Lib Cap to projects with Indigenous communities in northern Canada.

In 2011 Link was recruited by Canadian leaders to bring economic, social and environmental uplift to the depressed region of northern Canada by creating a multinational repository for Spent Nuclear Fuel.  In 2014, Link formed Deep Geo Inc. with local leaders and leading global experts to implement this program.

Link Murray has built or expanded businesses in Canada, Europe, Asia and Africa including commercial fishing, seafood processing, aquaculture, consulting, venture capital, and brand-oriented marketing. 

Between 1975 and 2001, Link Murray has built or expanded businesses in Canada, Europe, Asia and Africa including commercial fishing, seafood processing, aquaculture, consulting, venture capital, and brand-oriented marketing.  He has worked in a range of situations including countries in conflict (Rhodesia-Zimbabwe, Angola, Sierra Leone, and the Middle East). 

Link participates in the Link Foundation, which supports energy, simulation, and ocean engineering and instrumentation research following a family invention. 

Education includes:  B.Sc. Harvard 1973; M.Sc. University of Zimbabwe (University of London) 1975; Course in Health Non-Profit Management. Harvard School of Public Health 1976; MBA Harvard 1978.
